New for 2013, this summer show will be covering classic and modern bikes with a firm emphasis on the club and social side of biking today. Music, catering and camping will make this a biking social event not to be missed.
Already confirmed: Stunt Rider Steve Colley, The Wall of Death, Road Safety Demonstration from the Nottinghamshire Fire Brigade, Repsol Honda Extreme Wheelie Machine, The Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance will be stationed at the show for the duration of the weekend, Cambrian Tyre Challenge, Danny Butler???s Extreme Mountain Bike Show, Trade & Press Trials in association with the AJS & Matchless (POACHERS) Club.

84 mile route across Devon's beautiful countryside
Whether you are a motorbike enthusiast with a gleaming mean machine or a new rider keen to drum up some miles on two wheels, then this is just the event for you! Or you might have a trike or other motorbike?
Why not make a difference and take part in this year’s annual Devon Air Ambulance motorbike event - a motorbike ride out that is taking place on Sunday 14th July 2013? It only costs £5 to enter.
Each entry receives a souvenir t-shirt and all motorbikes will be entered for judging. Trophies will be awarded to category winners in Best Custom Bike, Best Classic Bike and Best In Show. Additional t-shirts for pillion riders will be available to buy at The Den.
We airlifted 31 motorcyclists to specialist hospitals last year - equating to just over 3% of all of our missions for the year. The medical attention and care given by our aircrew at the scene of an incident, coupled with the speed of conveyance to the most appropriate hospital, are the key to our patients' survival and recovery.
Caroline Creer, Director of Fundraising for Devon Air Ambulance Trust, said “Our annual Motorcycle Ride Out is always incredibly well supported. It’s such a good day out and the atmosphere is amazing. The motorcycling community of Devon is very appreciative of the work of the Devon Air Ambulance and this is one event where they can be involved and really give something back.” |

This year sees the 19th MegaRide (Sunday 11th August 2013), and with the sun shining (we hope!), there will be an impressive turn out on the day. Thousands and thousands of bikers pour into Lee Mill Industrial Estate for the charity ride which takes the bikers to Marley Head and then back into the City Centre, ending up on Plymouth Hoe where the bikers are greeted with a huge array of trade stands, catering stands, live music and even bouncy castles for the kids.
The bikers are asked for a £3 or £5 charity donation at Lee Mill and the total amount donated will be spilt between our chosen charities. |
