Charity Ride to Delhi India

| Somerset residents embark on a charity motorcycle ride from Western Super Mare to Delhi India.
On 9th September, Bath & Weston Super Mare residents Simon Chegwyn and Richard Evans (aged 37 and 54 respectively) are setting off from Weston and heading for Delhi. They will be riding their motorbikes nearly 8,000 miles through Europe, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, and are hoping to raise money for their two favourite charities.

Sound meters tackle noisy drivers

| Sound measuring kits are being used to target anti-social drivers with booming hi-fi systems and modified exhausts.
Devon and Cornwall Police said the meters were being used with other enforcement measures. |

New motorbike test is under fire

| The government is under pressure to rethink its new motorcycle test following a series of crashes in the first few weeks of its use.
Some instructors blame a new "swerve test", which they say is dangerous - particularly in the wet.
Bikers e-mailing BBC News said it could be difficult to safely achieve the 50km/h speed the manoeuvre required. |
