We are looking for motorcycle news from around the southwest. It can be anything from a rideout, what you thought of an event, your day at a dealers open day, a bad motorcycle experience etc. Basically tell us about anything motorcycle related. We are looking to help keep the southwest motorcycle community informed about as much as possible concerning motorcycles and motorcycling in the Southwest as we can.

Westbay Rideout 24th August 08
Rideout SW are planning a run to Westbay, Dorset on Sunday 24th August. The route will be a mixture of 'A' and 'B' roads, taking in some of the stunning Jurassic coast scenery.
There will be arranged meeting points for motorcyclists in Cornwall and Devon.

After a year of planning and preparation, Bikes 4 Flight 2008 took place at the Royal Cornwall Showground on Sunday 10th August.
Despite the ongoing Great British summer, we still had a decent turnout of around 650 bikes and raised in the order of £3500 for the Cornwall Air Ambulance.

Coxy's Mystery Tour of Devon took place on Sunday 20th July. Decent weather conditions prevailed throughout the day, which may have contributed to the number of bikes that turned up. Twelve bikes and seventeen riders (including pillions) from Cornwall, Devon and Somerset met up at Sourton.
On Tuesday 24th June in the early evening a young lad was unfortunate enough to be involved in a collision with a car on the main A390 Probus Bypass at the Tregony Junction. Then for some Low life to thieve it before he could get it towed a couple hours later.

Sunday was a lovely sunny morning, ideal for the Rideout-SW trip to the Cheddar Gorge. As we congregated in our usual spot at Exeter Services, it was obvious we weren't the only ones planning a motorcycle day out as there were a couple of other groups milling around.
Unfortunately Coleser and companions arrived just in time to see the other eight bikes leaving, and hampered by a fuel stop, the chase was on!
If the weather for Saturday's Rideout Shootout was glorious, Sunday was the exact opposite. Despite the mist and rain, riders from Cornwall and Devon both managed to met up at GT Motorcycles in Plymouth before heading off to Dartmouth.
Webby led the 7 bikes through Kingsbridge and along the coast road - the route he actually intended to take for a change . It was a fairly sedate ride due to the drizzly conditions, and we all arrived in Dartmouth slightly damp but in good spirits.
The weather finally broke in the afternoon; by the time we were riding across Dartmoor it was quite pleasant. At Sourton Services we parted company, some bikes (and pillions) looking as if they had been offroading rather than having a quiet trip to Dartmouth.
The much anticipated Rideout-SW Shootout took place at Ashcombe Adventure Centre on Saturday 26th April. Twenty five clays to shoot at with real live guns and an archery competition in the afternoon. Would anyone survive?

We have a new update on Damerells motorcycles new showrooms. The new premises are due to open this month ( April ) with an official open day sometime during May.

Easter Bank Holiday Monday brought forth a band of intrepid bikers on a mission to polish, fiddle and generally meddle with their bikes in aid of the NABD. Rob D kindly lent us the use of his driveway, tools and hot tub, whilst Mrs T organised a tuck shop to keep us topped up with snacks.
Steve Damerell is taking Damerells to the next level with an all new custon built showrooms. Located in Indian Queens just off the main A30. Damerells are hoping to move in during March.
Over the past 7 years B & H Motorcycles have grown significantly and have now moved to new premises located in Roche just out side St Austell on the A3274.
Howard, his staff and friends have put a great deal of effort into the new premises to give it the atmosphere we as bikers would expect plus more.
This was the day of the grand unveiling of Webbys new Busa for those of us north of the Cornish border. Breathtaking, awesome, oozing sex appeal, and the bike wasn’t bad either A professional photographer in the form of Stuarty was also present at Exeter Services, was this a co-incidence? 7 bikes managed to make it out this time, other riders reported Rugby related excessive alcohol consumption the previous evening.
