Charity Ride to Delhi India

| Somerset residents embark on a charity motorcycle ride from Western Super Mare to Delhi India.
On 9th September, Bath & Weston Super Mare residents Simon Chegwyn and Richard Evans (aged 37 and 54 respectively) are setting off from Weston and heading for Delhi. They will be riding their motorbikes nearly 8,000 miles through Europe, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan, and are hoping to raise money for their two favourite charities.

The keen bikers will set off from Weston Super Mare (time to be confirmed), and
hope that lots of people will be there to wish them luck and to see the trip
begin.
Simon and Richard are riding to raise money in support of Asha, a
charity working to improve the quality of life for people in the slums of Delhi,
and Weston Hospicecare, a charity providing care and support for people with
life-threatening illnesses.
They say, â?oour charities are very
different, but both do excellent work - we are hoping that people will want to
support them both!â?.
They will hope to make it to Delhi after 8-10
weeks - braving extremes of heat, sometimes cold, and some of the worldâ?Ts
worst traffic and most unreliable road conditions along the way.
They
have a total fundraising target of £16,000 for the charities, and they would
like to make it clear that they are paying their own costs for the trip.
