Charley Boorman Speaking Tour November 2011.
Location Ilfracombe
Date: 19th November 2011
Times Start 8:00 pm and ends 10:00 pm
Description: Charley Boorman, who's conducting a UK wide speaking tour, will be hosting a night of his speaking tour at the Landmark theatre in Ilfracombe on November the 19th.

Actor, Adventurer and Author Charley Boorman is taking a break from travelling the world to embark on his UK speaking tour. This is a chance to get up close and personal with Charley with an evening of personal stories, unseen footage of his adventurers, and host Billy Ward, interviewing Charley asking those ‘awkward’ questions few dare to ask!

Charley is well known for his hugely successful TV shows, Books and DVDs of the Long Way Round, Race to Dakar, Long Way Down and By Any Means. Charley recently showed them how it’s done on Channel 4’s Famous and Fearless, hosted by Chris Evans, winning outright and raising over £100k for charity. He’s become synonymous with anything ‘bike’, ‘travel’ or ‘adventure’ - a true petrol head but with a charm that makes him a joy to listen to.

For more tour information and tickets please visit Charley’s website, www.charleyboorman.com

Martin Jennings Run September 2011.
Location Truro
Date: 11th September 2011
Times Start 9:00 am and ends 6:00 pm
Description: Following the recent passing of my very good friend Colin Bennett of Falmouth aged 58 from cancer, who was also a very keen biker, I have decided to break with tradition and raise funds this year for two charities, Cancer Research UK and Cornwall Hospice Care. The monies raised will be split 50/50.

Each and everyone of you who will read this has been affected by this terrible illness oneway or another, whether it is family, friends, or just someone down the road who you hardly know.

The run will be on Sunday 11th September, assembling at Garras Wharf, Truro, 9.00am for 10.00am start. (weather permitting).

Entry fee will be £3 solo and £5 with pillion.

Those who wish to ride fast, and not within the spirit of the occasion are asked politly to stay away and do your own thing.

The most bikes we have ever had is about 1400, could we crack the 1500 this year Question

There is also a memorial evening planned for Colin at the Falmouth Recreation Ground (rugby club) on Friday evening the 9th prior to the run from 8pm till late, and all in aid of Cancer Research UK and Cornwall Hospice Care.

This should be a great evening with lots going on, including "Shakey's Gold Mine Disco" and an "Air Guitar Competition"

All monies raised on the evening will be put in the same pot as the Jennings Run.

Everyone is invited to attend.
