| Annual Egg Run |
April 2010. |
|
| Location |
Davidstow Airfield |
| Date: |
4th - 4th April 2010. |
| Times |
Start 11:00 am and ends 6:00 pm |
| Description: |
Moorlanders MCC in partnership with North Cornwall MCC are pleased to
announce that the 12th Annual Egg Run will take place from Davidstow
Airfield, Cornwall on the 4th April 2010 @ 11.00 a.m. (Easter Sunday) All
bikes/bikers are invited to attend this annual event which aims to
provide Easter Eggs to those who might not normally receive them and
donations to children’s charities in Cornwall As usual club members
will be in attendance at Davidstow Airfield from 9.30 on the morning of
the Egg Run to welcome riders/pillions and accept Easter
Eggs/donations. This year we are pleased to welcome members of North
Cornwall MCC as partners in this event. There will be a refreshment van
on site for coffee/tea and eats etc.
The run itself will leave Davidstow at 11.00 on the dot! We ask that you turn up with a full tank and an empty bladderalthough there will be tea/coffee/toilet facilities available at the
two stopping off venues and of course at the King’s Head at the end of
the run. We traditionally do not publish the route in advance in
order to prevent people from shooting on ahead of the main group but it
will be around 60 miles in total. The run is marshalled throughout
and we use a system of 2nd man drop-off with a tail end Charlie - this
means that there will be a marshal at every road junction or major
course deviation to ensure that everyone stays on the correct route and
only when the tail end rider passes will the drop-off rider catch up
with the rest of the run - hopefully we won’t lose anyone along the way
by using this tried and tested method. Entry is £1.00 per rider and
£1.00 per pillion, the first 300 riders/pillions will receive a
key-ring allowing free entry to the evening entertainments at The Kings
Head, Five Lanes, Launceston. (£3.00 on the door for those without a
key-ring). There will also be a BBQ laid on at this venue for eats at the end of the ride Music will be provided by “Doc Rocks” For further details please contact: Noddy 01566 774592 Or Mark (krambo) 01566 774258 Or check our website: www.moorlandersmcc.co.uk |

| Date: |
28th - 28th March 2010. |
| Times |
Start 8:00 am and ends 3:00 pm |
| Description: |
Motorcycle rideout on Sunday 28th March 2010 at 8.30am from the Haynes
International Motor Museum in Sparkford, Yeovil BA22 7LH and finishing at RAF
Cosford Air Museum in Shropshire TF11 8UP. Entry is £5.00 per person with under
14\'s free. Taking around 2hours and 30 mins.
Participants are asked to
register for the event on the day at each start point where they will be issued
with a wrist band, this will be their proof that they are officially entered and
will give them discounted entry to the Car museum and free entry to the Air
Museum in Cosford.
All the money raised from the event will go towards
our Miles More Minutes Campaign that we hope will enable serving Airmen and
Women to have longer time on calls to family and friends. Currently they are
issued with 30 minutes a week, this equates to 4.5 minutes per day.
We
are asking all who take part to bring with them a cuddly toy or an Easter Egg.
These will be collected and distributed throughout the Armed Forces to those
serving abroad at the moment and to the children of the families who have lost
loved ones. A suggested route will also be available on the day.
On
behalf of The Royal Air Forces Association, we really hope that we have a
fantastic attendance on the day and if you wish to come down to support us, we
are sure that you will enjoy this unique event.

| Classic Bike Show |
February 2010. |
|
| Location |
Bath & West Showground |
| Date: |
20th - 21st February 2010. |
| Times |
Start 9:00 am and ends 6:00 pm |
| Description: |
The Bath and West Showground provides
the curtain raiser to a season of
classic exhibitions. The Bristol
Classic Motorcycle Show is almost as
old as the
International though and, despite the
name, is held near Shepton Mallet
rather than in the Bristol Dockland
Warehouse where it originated.
Naturally given the time of year most
of the action happens inside and well
away from any possibility of snow and
wet. Attendance grows each year, with
plenty of room to expand, with more
than 18,000 people descending on the
halls each year.
